The Shoreline Rotary Foundation will not be holding our 8th Celebrate Shoreline Rotary Run. There are several reasons:

  1. It interferes with another fundraising event, which puts stress on our neighbors and friends who do sponsor Rotarian community efforts.
  2. The foundation must be fair to all its members from both breakfast and lunch clubs in the area, recognizing those efforts.
  3. Although the participation has kept the run intimate, our hope was to have the numbers grow. However, our run competes with too many other similar events at that time of year.
  4. We are planning on reinventing the run into a "Turkey Day Dash" held in conjunction with the Richmond Beach Neighborhood group. So look for this future event. Mark Anderson, above, has volunteered to spearhead that event, should anyone have questions.

Again, we thank you for participating in the past and trust we served you well. All funds have gone into the community to help Teen Hope (homeless teens), Shoreline Community College (for scolarships & student programs), Roanld Bog Park & other micro parks in Shoreline, toward the new YMCA Family Center's capital fund and many other community needs.
